Linda Killman, San Antonio born painter is a lifelong student of art. Linda’s Father, the late Jesse Garcia, an artist and wood sculptor, took her to art exhibitions and openings, all around Texas, weekend after weekend. She attended art classes along with the adults at her father’s studio. This immersion in her father’s art world laid the foundation for Linda’s strong sense of art. In the early 90’s she experienced her first gallery exhibit. Unafraid of criticism and eager to learn, she took a stack of her artwork to Richard Conn, of Nueva Street Gallery in La Villita. Mr. Conn liked her work and contemporary style. She sold out show after show. Linda eventually moved to Germany and opened her own art and antique gallery. She’ll tell you it was the hardest work she ever loved.

Linda continues to develop her art, from impressionism to the abstract. Linda says she will always be a student of Art and a contributor to the community. She has donated her works to fundraisers such as the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo, Art E Platters for Autism, and the San Antonio Center for Alzheimer’s.
